Our International Missions and Family Fun Day was a fantastic success. Many of us took the opportunity to dress in our national costume. Different parts of the service were presented in the different languages of members of the congregation - Māori, Africaans, Telagu and of course English.
The service was followed by a wonderful lunch - again with dishes from our many different countries. To top it off the children had lots of fun on the bouncy castle.

September 6 was the day of Upper Hutt's Spring Festival and we decided to join in the fun by holding a giant garage sale. The weather was wet, so we had the sale inside the church. The auditorium was full of buyers, sellers and lots of "stuff".
We also had a sausage sizzle and delicious pancakes for sale on the Church veranda. We were raising money towards getting a new kitchen for the Church.

What a lovely afternoon for a picnic.
Over 40 people of all ages drove up to Tunnel Gully north of Upper Hutt for a picnic in the sun.
The kids were able to paddle in the creek and some hardy souls walked through the old railway tunnel.
We managed to find some shade so no-one got too sunburned. The afternoon finished off with egg and spoon races.
A really fun time together.
