IN HIS PRESENCE IS FULLNESS OF JOY
As we continue our foundation for a great year – we remember to be in His presence
Last week Ps Gina challenged us to “Choose what is Better” to clean out our cupboard

So today we continue on How to build for our future

Are you a builder ?
I hope so ...
- Because when you stop building you can become overcome by decay, rot and rust
- Since the fall – the world suffers decay .. leave a car / toy / clothes outside ...
- So we have to continue – like trees and plants – to have new growth
Are you building for the present ?
Most probably yes ..
- You have a need for daily sustenance
- Breakfast – something you needed today
- Cause the things of the past have failed .. they need replacing or renewing
Are you only building for the present ?
I hope not !!
- If you are you are surviving ...
- Vanuatu – such an abundance of vegetation – go and get food daily from forest / sea
- But you are not placing yourself in a position to experience his expediential love.
Hornero birds : Uruguay – common build nests like Spanish ovens. Approximately two months to build. Territorial birds who build for their future. A place to ring up their young
Are you building for ones to come after you ?
We should build up an inheritance for our grandkids
Prov 13:22 NKJV A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children
Gina and I actively stepped into this some years ago ... buy with our Grandchildren in mind.

V’s 25 rain - torrents - floods - wind house won’t collapse BUILT ON ROCK
V’s 26 ignores (my) teaching – foolish
The key word here is: listens to my teaching and obeys me is wise
Remember the foolish person (ignores advise) built house on sand – easier – washed away.
To understand .. we have to look at context in scripture.

How to build for your future .. think of others .. apply these points above to your life.
2/ Three wisdoms
- The Narrow Gate It’s not the easy road that will last
Building house on rock / not sand - You Will Know Them by Their Fruit
The results of life are good & lasting
House on rock continued Sand had no preservation - I Never Knew You
Rock just one core value Sand – many diverse ideas / doctrines
3/ Immediately Jesus was tested

So to build for your future there is a lot to do ..
But don’t be overawed.
Take the hornero bird
- He built with scraps around him – mud water sticks
- He built little bit by little bit
- He continued on a regular basis
- Start with core values and build on them His Presence
- One step at a time Photo Board
- Some building is Present Boat Show
- Balloons @ Wedding
- Do not get to caught up with detail at first
- Have a goal and always point to it
