Our Beliefs

Statement of Faith

(Refer to Assemblies of God 16 Doctrines)

We accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God, our authoritative guide in all aspects of faith and practice.

We believe in the Trinity of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit who are each fully God.

We affirm the need for a personal relationship with God. This is made possible by the redemptive work of Christ and is appropriated through repentance, faith, baptism in water and receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

We embrace Christ's commission to preach the good news to all. The church is the company of those who respond to the gospel message.

We look forward to Christ's personal return;and by active godliness seek to be ever ready for the day of his second coming.

The D N A (culture) of our Church is to:

demonstrate God's love by being loving, caring and honouring.
bring others into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
reach out and give assistance in areas of need in our local community and beyond
teach people how to live fulfilled lives -to become disciples of Jesus Christ
be empowered by the Holy Spirit to do all things in excellence for the Lord.

Membership

Membership is open to those believers who are:

aged 16 (sixteen) years or over
born again, water baptised (by immersion), and have been, or are actively seeking to be, baptised in the Holy Spirit
tithing to Riverstones Church
in regular fellowship at Riverstones Church (for at least 6 (six) months)
in agreement with the "Statement of Faith" of the Church (see above)

and who:

understand and embrace the D N A (culture) of the Church
display evidence of living a consistent Christian lifestyle.
